Flashback Part II

No matter how hard we try, we can't escape it.  It follows us everywhere we go, every mall, every grocery store, restaurants, you name it.  It is.....Celine Dion.  Flash back to 1995 when Celine's music moved me and made me want to move to Canada.  Ok, well maybe it didn't move me, but it was fun to sing along to.

Tonight we got into a taxi and were greeted by our friendly driver who was wearing a Yankees cap.  He immediately turned on the tunes and 'Power of Love' came blaring out of the speakers. We looked at the driver and smiled and he said, "Celine Dion, strong voice!"

Sad to say, the ride wasn't long enough to get to the chorus, but we had a good time watching our driver try not to sing along with Celine while he had passengers.

Oh, and before we were able to close the car door when we got to our apartment, he flipped the cassette tape so we could also hear a bit of 'Hotel California'.   Best taxi ride yet, hands down.
