Arabic, Arabii?

We began our first week of Arabic class, or 'saff l-arabii'.  We have a great tutor from the university who is very helpful and laughs at all of Daniel's Arabic jokes.  It is definitely a tough language to learn but we hope to have some basics down by the time we leave (early Nov.)  I mentioned to our tutor that I felt like it took a lot of energy to speak the words and alphabet correctly and she told me, "Yes, it DOES take lots of energy and it also burns lots of calories!"  Needless to say, I think I'll be practicing my arabic as much as possible.

Life has been busy in a great way!  We are filling up our evenings with one on one meetings with friends (old and new) to share about our future in the Middle East.   We look forward to getting to hang out with more of you before in the next few months!
