Arkansas Visit

Uh, has it really been this long since I've posted anything on the blog? My sincere apologies. Really. I am determined to keep you up to speed on life over here in the Middle East. But first, I want to tell you about our trip back to the states last month. We had a great, fun-filled, super busy month seeing family and driving all over the fine state of Arkansas with a quick trip to Missouri. It was such a treat to be able to go back even for a short time. Noah had a blast and loved meeting all his cousins and extended family.

We had a fun-filled day at Beaver Lake in Arkansas with Laura's side of the family. Noah learned how to tube and do flips off the boat from his older cousins. Here's Luke, Katie and Jackson.....
...and Tyler with his Uncle Daniel.
We drove to Kansas City for a quick visit with Noah's extended cousin, Jack. He taught Noah how to crawl really fast and wiggle around on his changing table. It's getting a lot harder to diaper the kid these days. Thanks, Jack.
At Daniel's parent's house, Noah even learned how to ride a horse! He did ok, except for all the drool left on the saddle horn.
Oh, and we had the best homecoming ever! Our name on the sign at our favorite Chick-fil-a! We were a little worn out by the time we got there (our trip over took 2 days instead of the originally planned one), but we really enjoyed our first meal back in the states. Mmmm, nuggets.
