It's nice to know we have a punctual son. We were told he would come on January 8th and he was right on time. Of course, my contractions started on January 7th at about 1:30 am. They continued all day on Thursday and I was nervous/excited so I didn't get much sleep. We tried to continue with our day as usual, running errands, looking for some things to finish off the nursery - and we ended the day with dinner at a fun chinese restaurant. By 2 am Friday morning contractions were close enough that my mom thought we should head to the hospital.
We checked in to the delivery floor and were the only ones there. It was nice to have all the attention of the nurses on duty. Our doctor came in at 7 am and stayed with me while Daniel and mom ran to another floor to have a quick breakfast (they were pulling an all-night-er with me and we forgot to bring snacks!). We all watched a little Wheel of Fortune and then around 11:00 it was time to get working. Twenty minutes later, we welcomed baby Noah into the world.
Daniel and my mom were both able to be in the delivery room with me to experience it. It was all pretty much amazing. We were so thankful for the miracle of this tiny baby who was healthy and beautiful with long purple-ish feet (the purple faded eventually)! Here are some pics to show you the events of the day....

Daniel captured this gorgeous sunrise out the window of the 8th floor of the hospital.

My awesome birth coach and an amazing dad!

Grandma NeNe, or for the Arabic speakers, 'Tayta'.

Noah getting cleaned up in the nursery. Daniel said he was kicking those skinny legs the WHOLE time.

thanks for the update! I love those long skinny legs. Him and Sammy could be great runners with those legs.
