Tip #1: Keep one hand on the horn at all times - your horn can be used to:
a. warn drivers that you are driving behind or beside to "Stay In Their Lane!"
b. notify drivers that you and hundreds of other cars are still driving 45 mph down the highway even though they are trying to back out into the middle of the road from some obscure parking spot
c. alert the car that is passing in the opposite lane on a tiny road and driving too fast that yes, there are cars in the other lane (like YOU) so maybe you shouldn't be passing right now
Tip #2: Drive slowly - you are likely to avoid more accidents this way, and there are always surprisingly large speed bumps that come out of nowhere.
Tip #3: Don't worry about anything behind your peripheral vision or the front windows of your car. No one else is.
